This is my pitch presentation that was presented to the class.
After much thought and consideration, I have decided to change my idea as I feel like I wouldn't be able to properly portray what I wanted to do. This is due to not having enough people willing to perform in my piece, as well as probably being too ambitious with my overall idea. If I had more time and people, I might be able to do this but seeing as I unfortunately don't, I have decided to change my idea.
The song I have now decided to do is called "A sadness runs through him" by The Hoosiers. My overall idea for this song is to make a story about a suicidal man who goes to his friend for help, but gets turned away after an argument breaks out between them. The man proceeds to go home and commits suicide. The video will be showing his grief and memories of him and his friend and his he feels guilty about his death. At the end, it shows that it was all a dream and shows the scene from the beginning, but this time the friend helps him.
To show the difference between past and present, I will use different colours (yellow in the memory to show happiness and blue in the present to show sadness and guilt etc) this will make the story easy to follow for my audience.

ReplyDeleteYou've clearly outlined your intentions for the project and what resources you plan to use for your research and you have created a clear plan of what you plan to do in each week of the project. The only thing I would say, for the future, is to perhaps have a more clear plan of each week of the project so for example, how much filming do you want to complete in W/B 22/4.
ReplyDeleteI have a very clear idea of what you wish to produce just by reading this section which is brilliant, to improve possibly add a few other potential songs and analyse them - explaining the reason behind picking the song you did.
